How to make a claim
Call the same number and quote the invoice. If the fault is the one we repaired and it is inside the term, the return visit is booked without a diagnostic charge. If the appliance has developed a different fault, we will say so and quote it as new work — and we will show you why the two are not the same.
What voids it
- A second party working on the same component after us. We cannot warrant a repair somebody else has been inside.
- An installation fault we identified in writing and you chose not to correct — restricted rear clearance, an undersized gas line, an unvented hood run. The part will fail again for the same reason.
- Damage from a surge, a flood or an impact after the repair. That is an insurance question, and we will write the report for it.
- An appliance that has stood in water. Silt reaches places no service procedure does and electronics that test clean on the day can fail months later, so we will not warrant work on one — and we will say so before we start rather than after.
What our warranty is not
It is ours. It is not the manufacturer's, and it does not extend, replace or interact with any cover Viking provides on the appliance itself. If your appliance is still inside its original cover, using that cover is almost always the better move, and we will say so before we book a visit rather than after.
