We run a mobile service and do not keep a public counter, so there is no street address to visit. Parts are ordered to the job.

Before you callWhat should I have ready when I ring?
The model and serial from the data plate, which is inside the door or behind the toe kick; the symptom in your own words and when it started; whether anyone has been inside the appliance before us; and the access notes — gate code, dogs, a range built into a tight cabinet run.
Do you work on anything other than Viking?
No — one manufacturer, the whole line: ranges and rangetops, wall ovens, built-in refrigeration, wine storage, dishwashers, hoods and outdoor grills. If the badge on the door says something else we tell you on the telephone, and you are not charged for a visit to find that out.
Do you repair heating or air conditioning?
No. Viking here is the kitchen appliance manufacturer, not a heating trade — the work is ranges and rangetops, ovens, built-in refrigeration, wine storage, dishwashers, hoods and built-in grills. Furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps and conditioned-air ducting are a different trade altogether, and we say so on the telephone rather than charge $80 to find out.
Is the $80 diagnostic credited?
Flat $80 diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you approve the work. If you decide not to go ahead, the diagnostic stands on its own and you keep the written estimate, including what was measured and what was ruled out.
Ring the bench and describe the symptom. A question that cannot be answered on the telephone is a question that needs a meter on the appliance, and we would rather say so than sell a visit to find out.
